You may have noticed that GoldMine allows HTML text virtually anywhere text is stored. This includes (obviously) e-mail messages, but also includes History and Pending Notes, the Notes Tab on the Contact Record and anywhere you see a free-form text field.
And this is all well and good, but can wreak havoc with third party reports which cannot interpret HTML encoding. In these cases, reports produce notes which are “messy”, including the actual HTML tags.
To change this behavior in GoldMine, you can make sure that HTML notes are enabled or disabled by going to Tools | Configure | System Settings | Display Tab.
Select the “HTML” or “Plain Text” radio button in the Notes Format area.
